Stearns Homestead

Caption of back reads:

“Stearns Homestead, a 48-acre farm, is the last remnant of the City of Parma’s rich agricultural way of life.  The Stearns House (circa 1855) and the Gibbs House (circa 1920) serve as museums with furnishings and displays appropriate to the era.  The “Yankee” style barn predates the houses.  The Country Store, cabin, gardens, farm animals and their shelters offer a memorable visit to Parma’s past.  The City of Parma purchased the property from the Earl C. Gibbs family in 1980 to preserve Parma’s rural heritage.  Subsequently, the City of Parma leased it to the Parma Area Historical Society, which maintains it as an educational and working historic farm.  Stearns Homestead was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1981.

Parma Senior High School

Caption of back reads:

“Parma Sr. High has had a long and proud history dating back to 1953.  Parma Sr. High School celebrated its golden anniversary throughout the 2003-2004 school year.  Dubbed the “Queen of High Schools,” more than 32,000 Redmen alumni proudly proclaim “loyalty eternally” to their alma mater.”

Parma City Hall

Caption on back as follows:

The Parma City Hall was dedicated on November 7, 1957 by Joseph W. Kader, the city’s eight mayor.  The exterior of the building is faced in Crab Orchard Tennessee stone with Indiana limestone accents.  The main lobby boasts Cassino Rose Italian marble.  Walnut paneling, Roman Travestine marble and bronze railings decorate the Council Chambers.  The Mayor’s Office is paneled with Honduran Mahogany.
